We’re not here to tell you what to think.

But we are here to tell you something kind of cool about how your MindPop Threads order gets made.

Your Shirt Might Be More Local Than You Think

Most of our products are printed through print partners in multiple countries, which means we can often make your order closer to where you actually live.

Ordering from Canada? Your order can be printed by our Canadian print partner and fulfilled through Canadian operations. In the UK? We have print and fulfillment there, too. Australia? Same idea. And if you’re in New Zealand, your order can be handled by our Australian print partner — still a whole lot closer than sending it from the U.S.

So instead of a shirt being printed in one country, shipped across an ocean, processed somewhere else, and then making its way to you, we can often skip a good chunk of that journey.

Your shirt doesn’t need a passport.

Why We Do It This Way

Part of it is environmental.

Printing closer to the customer can mean fewer international shipping miles and fewer unnecessary trips for a product that ultimately needs to get from a printer to your front door.

It’s not some magical zero-impact system. Nothing involving manufacturing, packaging, and shipping is. But if we can make a shirt closer to the person who ordered it, we’d rather do that than send the same shirt halfway around the world just because that’s how the big machine is set up.

And there’s another part we like even more.

People are involved. There’s a printer running the press. Someone handling the order. Someone packing it. Someone getting it into the mail system. Those jobs exist in the countries where our customers live.

That’s pretty damn cool.

So Is It “Buying Local”?

Well… sort of.

We’re not going to pretend that ordering a MindPop Threads shirt from Canada is the same thing as buying a shirt from the shop down the street. It isn’t. We’re a small independent American brand, and we’re selling online. There are still materials, manufacturing, shipping, packaging, and plenty of moving parts involved.

But compared with a product that may be mass-produced thousands of miles away, shipped around the world, moved through multiple warehouses, and eventually delivered to a big-box store? Sometimes, your MindPop Threads shirt actually has a shorter trip to make.

That’s the part we wanted you to know.

Small Brand. Surprisingly Local Supply Chain.

We built MindPop Threads around original designs, not around ordering a mountain of inventory and hoping somebody buys it. That means we can make things when they’re ordered and use print partners in different parts of the world.

It isn’t perfect. It doesn’t mean every single product takes the exact same path.

But it does mean that if you’re sitting in Toronto, London, Melbourne, Auckland, or somewhere else outside the U.S., there’s a pretty good chance your MindPop Threads order is being made a whole lot closer to you than you might have assumed. And we’d rather support that kind of system whenever we can.
